It is one of the hottest chillies in the world. Many would say its also the sweetest and most tasty. In 2012, New Mexico State University's Chile Pepper Institute conducted a scientific study several varieties of super-hot chinense's and identified the Trinidad Moruga Scorpion as the hottest on the planet at that time with Scoville Heat Unit (SHU) rating of 1.2 million. A fantastic and beautiful specimen in the garden this hot pepper can be chopped up fresh on pasta, cooked in West Indian curries or transformed into a delicious hot sauce that can be used on anything.
